Water 88Eyre goes to live with the Edmunsun family after her parents die in a house fire. Eyre has fiery red hair and sapphire coloured eyes. She is 14.
Beatrice Edmunsun
Earth 35Beatrice is also 14, the oldest child of the Edmunsuns. She is very smart, tall and thin with glasses, a nose stud and she likes to eat. She has long dark hair and hazel eyes.
Abby Wilson
Fire 173Abby is Beatrice’s best friend. She is short with blonde hair that she likes to colour differently. She has a caring, bubbly personality. Her father is good friends with the Edmunsuns.
Nick Richards
Air 134Nick is Whittaker Ray’s Ward. His mother ran off, leaving him alone with an abusive father. Nick is slight of build with blonde hair sticking up. He is covered in scars. He found out about the Lightworking world at the same time as Eyre.
Jax (Jack) Jackson
Water 81Eyre meets Jax at the TEP trials. He is handsome with green eyes, black hair and tanned skin. He is instantly interested in Eyre. Jax’s family owns a timber business.
Colton Ford
Earth 44Colton is an unusually gifted student. He is tall and strongly-built with blonde hair and ice-blue eyes. He makes a strong connection with Eyre.
Warrigal Gundungurra
Water 61Warrigal is an Aboriginal boy in Eyre’s lodge. He is smart, calm and spiritual.
Ben Perrill
Air 119Ben is a bully who targets all students, but Eyre in particular, who he seems to particularly dislike. He is big and lumbering, but very strong.
Zanda Nixon
Air 106Zanda is a slight boy with long hair and a wicked sense of humour. He likes to gossip. His family and Ben’s take holidays together.
Carly Henderson
Water 65Eyre’s bunkmate. A strong country girl who is very kind. From Borabinga near Wagga Wagga, and has two older brothers, Aaron and Dean.
Pheria Galloway

Professor Mandig Vela

Ranger Leo Chrysanthe
Pilots the Zepps. Mystical powers. Bright green hair, whirling beetles around his head, bangles and rings. Outlandish sense of dress.
Sergeant Tottingham
RufaSupervises the TEP trials with Professor Vela. An expert in Ferito and the Defence Forces. A big woman with no time for disobedience or disorder. But has a strong kind streak.
Sir Philius Clarembout (Lord Clarembout)
